Snapshots

She's so fat! I love it. She looks like such a little diva.

Good stuff.

At the used bookstore. I always check this section for Agatha Christie books.

Cooking microwave dinners - that's what I call good housekeeping!

In the middle of the cookbook section is a book called "The Scented Bath". Hm.

What a brilliant book idea!

I went to Michael's to buy yarn for some crochet slippers I'm making for someone. I found these on sale :)

That one time I went on the roof to take a picture of a toad.

Amazing Friends and Canadian Books

Earlier this week my old roommate sent me a package! It came just when I needed it, too. Check out the awesomeness. She found the Canadian version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at a yard sale, and she bought it for me so I could have the one with a cooler cover - and the cover is definitely awesome. She also wrote me a story, sent me a card, some pictures of other HP book covers, and drew a picture of us with terrible hair ;)

Totally thought this said "whitebread" at first. It's much more amusing that way.

Check out the cover! I think this drawing of Harry Potter looks better than the US version - that one tends to have a huge forehead.

Sirius! Grim! Werewolf! I'm not really sure. My first instinct was to think it was a werewolf - I mean, it looks so scary! But then I realized Sirius is a main character, so it seemed like it could be him...but then I thought it  looked too scary to be Sirius, so maybe it was supposed to be a Grim. What do you think?

Thanks, Julia!

Just a short Friday Love post today...because I'm lazy :)

This beautiful cover of The Postal Service's Such Great Heights.

This song by The Fray - it's so lovely.

The Tadpoles are Growing Up

Most of the tadpoles have tiny legs. One of them is a tiny toad.
The flailing one there in the corner? That's the toad. I like to call him Robin, after Kermit's nephew

Those are ants crawling around him, by the way - just in case the dime wasn't a good enough indicator of exactly how tiny he is.

Artist Spotlight: Nils Frahm

Yet another artist introduced to me by Today's Letters. I love piano music, so it's no surprise that I love Nils Frahm, a German piano player who uses various accompaniment to complement the soothing feel of his music. The first thought that comes to mind when listening to his music is rain. Maybe that's weird to you, but...there it is. It fits perfectly with a beautiful rainy day. Some of his music also has a rhythm similar to that found in the music of Philip Glass.
Personally, I think his song Nue is the prettiest.

Check out his website and Myspace.

Help!

So, Blogger changed things around recently, and now I can't figure out how to schedule a post. I usually try to schedule posts a day or two in advance, just to help me stay on the ball, but now I can't get it to work. I click schedule, pick what time and day I want to post, and then click "publish" or "schedule", whichever button happens to be available, but my scheduled posts never come up until I go in after the scheduled time and click "publish" or "schedule" again.

Do any of y'all know what's up? I'd love your help!
