Picture, Playlist, and Update

Yeah, I know. I never post on here, and I don't really plan to, either. I've been crazy busy working all the time - and watching Twin Peaks when I finally have time off :)  But I have an amazing playlist to share, and an update. And a picture, because, well, this is me we're talking about. First, the picture:

Make that two pictures. The first is me and my true love. The second is me and my sister on my 22nd birthday. We're both having an amazing time. Trust me.
Next: The Perfect Playlist.

It's incredible, right? You're welcome.
Now, the update: I've realized I like writing poetry, so if you're interested in seeing what I write, I will be sharing it over here: My New Tumblr. I also have a tumblr for Things I Like. The second is less edited and more of a place for me to save things. But whatever.

Scout

....actually...that was kind of fun. Maybe once I get my life back (hopefully soon) I'll start posting again. We'll see.

Currently...

Listening to these songs, making French flash cards, and not wanting to get up early for work in the morning.

Guilty Pleasure Music

Here is some music that I know all of you love. You're just too scared to admit it. Don't worry - you're in good company. We all have music that we feel guilty about liking.

Actually, I'm not sure I feel guilty about liking The Jonas Brothers.

A Stolen Playlist

I found this playlist on Oh, So Lovely Vintage and decided to steal it for my own blog! I made some adjustments - changed a couple versions and added one or two extras. I hope you like it!

Summer Playlist Pt. 2

This is one of my favorite mixes of all time. I have a very similar CD that I put in almost every time I'm in the car  - my poor family. Anyway, I hope y'all like it!

Happy weekend!

Summer Playlist

I started making this playlist ages ago, and I meant to share it with y'all on the first day of summer. That didn't happen, obviously. Even so, I hope you enjoy it now!

Ramblings and Music

This past and next week are so busy! I'm very grateful, because I'm not busy very often. I've been out with friends, I went to tea with my mom, I've been working extra hours (yay, paycheck!), and we've had lots of company over now that our pool is finally open.
Have I mentioned how much I love summer? It's about the only thing I can think lately - I just love summer.

Anyway, one of the things I really wanted to say was, I'm so losing motivation when it comes to photography. I mean, I love photography - I could take pictures of everything all day. Lately, though, I've just felt disappointed with my photographs. I think it's because I'm using the manual setting, so then when a picture looks bad it's my fault, not the camera's.
Do you guys ever feel that way? How do you find your motivation again? And do you have any tips to share on improving photography skills? I feel like I'm lacking in those lately.

On a lighter note, here is some great summery music. It's by Jonsi (did you know he was in Sigur Ros? Yeah, me neither). Some of it is from the movie We Bought a Zoo, which you definitely need to see. Seriously, it's one of my new favorites.

So This Is Love - Playlist

I love duets and harmonies, especially cute love songs sung by cute couples. So here's a playlist I made with some of my favorite couple duets.

Playlist, Shop Update, To-Do List

I have been crazy productive today! I finished some shop items, photographed a ton of items, then edited and listed items. This is my to-do list:
(P.S. Propaganda refers to this book that I've just started reading)

I've also been listening to this random collection of songs pretty much non-stop.

Finally, here's some of what I added to my shop. Three more days to support ANTI-trafficking! Check it out here.

Sunday Morning.

These are the songs I listened to (over and over) while getting ready for church this morning. They're pretty awesome, so I thought I'd share them with you :)

Vamlumtimes is Serious Times

Check out last year's Valentine's playlist here. Boy, do I feel lame reading that post, but the music is great.

Music in My Head

I can't get these songs out of my head tonight. I seriously listened to Silly Love Songs about seven times in a row. I love Paul McCartney probably more than the next person, but I've never really been a fan of that song - until tonight, when it was suddenly very important for me to listen to it for half an hour.

Saturday Morning Cartoons Playlist

What television shows did you watch growing up? Here are some themes from shows I grew up watching, and some that I didn't really watch, but liked the theme song, anyway.

And speaking of theme songs, who else remembers this Doug theme? I remember it much more clearly than the other one, and I definitely like it better. What do you think?

Landon Pigg and Other Artists

It's been a while since I've posted a playlist. This is a random selection of music I can't get out of my head this week. I hope you like it!

I Miss You [but i haven't met you] by Ashley Nicole on Grooveshark

Wassup?!

I have this thing for 90s trends. I love them. I want to bring them all back. Okay, maybe not all. I do like the huge sweaters, though. And pogs. Can we bring those back? And the cartoons. I mean, does it get any better than Doug? Oh! I watched my first episode ever of Pinky and the Brain last week. It wasn't bad.

Speaking of the 90s, I got a VHS of 101 Dalmatians at the thrift store today! I think it's one of my new favorites. Others include Cinderella and Sword in the Stone. Did you know 101 Dalmatians was a book? It's pretty good. The author, Dodie Smith, does a good job of making Cruella de Vil uber creepy. I also got the book The Three Faces of Eve. Have y'all seen the movie? It's amazing. I can't wait to read the book.

Lastly, I really like jazz. So I'm sharing a playlist with you! Some of it's old, some are newer takes on old songs, some are more along the lines of a crooner style. Either way, it's good music. Summertime is one of my favorite jazz songs ever.

Good Times Mix 2

Way back when, I shared a playlist that I made for a CD Swap hosted by Where The Lovely Things Are. Today I'm finally going to share the playlist I received. The only song that's missing is Caravan by Van Morrison because it wasn't on Grooveshark.
Enjoy!

Peace out,
Scout
