Today's composer is James Newton Howard, known for his work with M. Night Shyamalan and for the scores in probably about half of the movies you've seen.
This particular playlist contains the soundtrack from Shyamalan's The Village, and it is quite possibly my favorite movie soundtrack ever. Ask my roommate from last year - I was always listening to it.
